I only covet them.

I do own a few nice pairs of high heels that I force myself to wear from time to time, just to prove to myself that I still can. But the ones I really want are 4.75" high. Hello!? I'm not even sure my toes would be able to touch the ground with my heel at that height! That's just asking for trouble.

In the meantime, I'd best get working on some other things.Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12178771612031280593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685065582281848343.post-3520537530271623172009-11-02T21:37:48.928-05:002009-11-02T21:37:48.928-05:00I've seen plenty, but the one I envy is your a...I've seen plenty, but the one I envy is your ability to wear great shoes. I have rotten joints and feet so my poor feet are always shod in SAS lace ups with custom orthotics.

I hate it that Shira is growing up seeing sensible shoes. I should have had her a decade earlier when I wore 4 inch heels. Can't say it was sugar or calorie free though.Shezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14165727341717139605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685065582281848343.post-55125024390778289482009-11-02T21:05:15.801-05:002009-11-02T21:05:15.801-05:00Thanks, Shez and Amy.

It's also where I was standing when I took the first picture.

The desks are a tight fit because it's a tiny room, but it's warmer here than at the kitchen table (even though she also spends a great deal of time there as well).

You need to be near the kitchen, Shez - your kids cook!Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12178771612031280593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685065582281848343.post-43198932698901005082009-11-02T19:32:59.543-05:002009-11-02T19:32:59.543-05:00Yes, you know, I think I'm going to go back to...Yes, you know, I think I'm going to go back to Windows Movie Maker. I hated it when I used it before, but the ones you have to pay for don't seem much better. I guess what I really hate is the processing time. I like being near the kitchen when I teach the kids (that's the Jewish mama in me. need to feed those kids)Shezhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14165727341717139605noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685065582281848343.post-82941819724823014712009-11-02T18:14:27.107-05:002009-11-02T18:14:27.107-05:00It's just that free Windows Movie Maker that c...It's just that free Windows Movie Maker that came with my laptop. I spent a lot of the time syncing the music with the video so I was sad to realize that I really shouldn't do that and post it. But the learning to do it was really fun.

I took the video with my little digital camera and imported it and the stills to the project. There I just putted around figuring out titles, etc. It's not terribly user friendly, but it's easier enough to figure out through trial and error (or, heaven forbid, by watching the tutorials). There's a lot of back and forth between storyboard and timeline views in order to get in the effects you want.

Next, I'm going to have to write and perform my own music. Now that will be a treat!Lynnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12178771612031280593noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-685065582281848343.post-3426397939341070612009-11-02T17:55:02.107-05:002009-11-02T17:55:02.107-05:00Sammy watched with me and said, LEAVES, MOMMY.
