Dance Me

Despite the relatively recent popularity of the first and long career of the second, I have been a long-time fan of the art of Jack Vettriano, and only recently come to appreciate some of the songs of Leonard Cohen

Dance Me to the End of Love, by Jack Vettriano

Cohen also wrote a book, Beautiful Losers, and a song Bird on a Wire and Vettriano has a two painting by the first name and one by the second.  When asked on Desert Island Discs, Vettriano mentioned Leonard Cohen as one of his must have records.

But far more important to me than this tentative connection between the two is the idea of Dance Me.

Delivering an imperative in which I am the direct object of the transitive verb "dance" gives me a little thrill.
