Get Happy

Some how the words don't match the bluesy-snappy thing, but it works nonetheless.

We're singing this in chorus, too!

I think we all ought to dress like Judy for the concert.

It's sounding great already--"Get Happy" makes me happy!

Yes, I told Stephen that same thing last night. If we could just get the jackets a wee bit longer (say 6") - I'd sign up - really.

I was surprised to not hear any snapping - so we snapped along at home.

Good choice, Fiddler.

Thanks so much for the upbeat start to my morning! I added it to Pandora right away.

LB: Do you know why my Google Reader only gets a few lines of your posts? Is that a setting I can change or you have to change? I'd read more if I could see your full posts in my reader, and also your great media clips.

Kim - what's Pandora (of course, I can find out myself - I'm just not that curious this late at night).

Amy - done! It was under my control. I love that!

It works because its Judy!

Thanks for reminding me of Miss Garland's great legs!

Pandora is an on-line streaming radio that tailors a 'station' to the music you tell it you like.

So I have a 'Doris Day' station to which I've added Ella Fitzgerald, Frank Sinatra, Cole Porter, and Lena Horne. The station then selects songs that are similar (using magic, of course) and then plays songs by those artists and others that may match your defined tastes. If you like it, you tell them and they save that info. If you don't like it, let them know and they won't play that song again.

So I have a 'Doris Day' station (my forties jazz, torch songs) along with stations for Nickelback (modern alternative), and The Cure (old school new wave/soft punk/hard punk) and a genre station of Classical-Romantic. It's introduced me to new musicians (like Michael Buble) and older ones I forgot about, like Louis Jordan.

I like it. As long as you don't mind not having total say over which songs you listen to. It's a nice mix for me and my more used stations are pretty on target for what I like (although there's starting to be a little too much Dean Martin).

Yeah. You know how I love Judy.

That sounds cool, Kim. I'm going to have to check that out!

I love the Cure. Have I posted anything on them? I have been known to listen to "Just Like Heaven" many times in a row. Since they're so scary looking, maybe I should post that video sometime this month.

Thanks for the info.
